First Aid & CPR British Columbia
In British Columbia, assisted-living residences and home-support services care for seniors and adults who can no longer live fully independently. These settings are staffed by health care assistants who must be able to respond to a medical emergency with first aid and CPR.
Assisted-living residences and home-support services, regulated under the Community Care and Assisted Living Act, staffed by certified Health Care Assistants (HCA).
The provincial Health Care Assistant certificate — required to work in assisted-living and home-support settings — requires a Standard First Aid with CPR Level C certificate before the first clinical placement, so front-line care staff can respond to adults in an emergency and use an AED.
A recognized, up-to-date first-aid/CPR certificate is the way to meet this requirement; it is in addition to the HCA's occupational training and must be renewed periodically.
我们严格遵循 ILCOR(International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation)的建议,该国际机构负责对全球复苏标准进行科学评估与制定。
